Once December rolls around, my weekend style achieves ultimate comfy cozy. You'll only find me in a dress and tights for special occasions (like Nick's super sweet 16 birthday party last weekend), while boots and beanies become my outfit staples.
Last weekend was our first weekend in Pittsburgh since mid-November. Between Nick's birthday celebrations and seeing Amy Schumer live, we also had to decorate for Christmas, clean the apartment, and work on a few projects. I needed to be super comfortable, so I lived in my new Circa Survive sweatshirt all weekend.
On Black Friday we saw Circa Survive on their Juturna 10 Year Anniversary tour in their hometown of Philadelphia. I also happened to pick up this super warm, fun holiday sweatshirt featuring their Juturna album art and the lyrics, "Can we last through the winter?" In middle school, band t-shirts were basically all I wore, but I haven't purchased a band t-shirt in years. When I saw this sweatshirt, however, I knew I would want to wear it all winter long. It takes me back to being 15 years old and seeing Circa for the first time, and then over and over and over again (picking out a new shirt at the merch table each show.)
To head out and run some errands, I threw on my favorite casual winter coat, Nick's beanie, and my new booties that I also picked up on Black Friday. Shopping in stores in Black Friday is a no-go for me, but I can't turn down a great online deal. When I saw that Charlotte Russe was having 50% boots, including these near identical copies to the Sam Edelman Petty boots, I knew I had to pick up a pair. $18 versus $140? Yes, please!
