Lately... (III)

It feels like fall, y'all!
Ever since we came back from Washington, DC, it feels like life has been moving at warp speed. Between school starting, work being completely crazy, and lots of big projects in the works, I can barely believe we've had time to catch our breath. Despite the hectic schedules, I think we've maintained a pretty good posting routine here on the blog and that certainly makes me happy. Even though things can be totally nuts behind the scenes, we always want to make sure we have awesome things to share with you!

So today is just a little recap post of what life has been like lately off the blog. You've probably seen most of these photos via Instagram if you follow me, but I hope you'll enjoy the little refresher (and more detailed captions!)

Trench / Moccasins

One thing on my Summer To-Do List was to attend one of the Rooftop Shindigs hosted by Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. We attended a couple of weeks ago and had a great time! But I think my favorite part was the 60 degree weather and getting to wear my new favorite coat!

Sunday morning coffee and macarons with Nick. Those weekend morning moments are my favorite.

A couple months ago we were invited by Home Depot to participate in their Holiday Style Challenge. We were sent a box of goodies, an assignment, and we have less than a month to get it all ready! Sometime in the next month or so, you will see the end result featured on the Home Depot blog (someone pinch me!!!)

Earlier this month, my friend Shannon and I participated in a Food Words Spelling Bee! All proceeds supported the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, so I was studying up for weeks! Unfortunately, I got knocked out on the word 'tzatziki,' but Nick still took us out for celebratory beers at Franktuary!

WE'RE IN BUSINESS, BABY! I feel so official!

Blazer / Shirt / Shoes (Only $45!)
You remember my friend Belle of the Burgh, right?

Last week I attended my first event as a blogger! The lovely ladies who put together the Stylish Pittsburgh campaign organized a Style Social for local bloggers at the beautiful Number Fourteen boutique in Lawrenceville (AKA Instagram heaven - that bicycle sink is everything!) It was so much fun to connect with other Pittsburgh bloggers - I hope you'll get to see a lot more collaborations on the blog in the future!

And... that's about it! We also went out of town this past weekend to celebrate Nick's dad's retirement (go, Harry!) Now we're back in the Burgh, trying to settle back into our normal routine, at least until this weekend when we celebrate my birthday! We hope you all have a wonderful week!
