Back To School Clothes - Teacher Edition!

If we include kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and teaching experience, last Monday marked my 21st 'First Day of School.' That's a lot of opportunities to get my back to school outfits right, and I think that after 21 tries, I've finally hit my stride regarding the most important outfit of the year.

Now, luckily for me, I work in an incredibly casual school environment, where comfort and mobility definitely take precedent over professional attire. I'm excited to share with you a small glimpse into some casual/professional attire I'll be sporting this school year.

The basics of my day to day outfits this year will mainly consist of a button up shirt and a nice pair of pants. Old Navy's "Classic Shirt" comes in a ton of colors and fits, and I'm really liking that style right now.

For pants, I'm all about the Logg Skinny Fits from H&M. They too come in different colors and fits, and are comfortable and durable enough for any occasion.

Of course, I'll need a bag for my books, papers, and laptop. I was really looking to get a Herschel Supply Co. bag, but this one is a near copy of their style, and clocks in at about $40 less than a Herschel. Sold.

In lieu of dress shoes this year, I'm going for comfort with some Vans Eras. I've finally allowed myself to believe that a good, nice, clean pair of sneakers can look just as good as a pair of seven-year-old dress shoes. Be sure to always pair your shoes with some great socks.

This watch was a Christmas gift from Sarah a few years ago. I'm all about the simple style, minimal face numbers, and slim design. It's not technically 'new' for this school year, but it's tried and true, so I'll keep on wearing it.
